AOL Mail Settings for iPhone – How to Setup AOL Mail in Your iPhone | How to Setup Your Sent Folder Properly

AOL mail is a costless web-based email service rendered by AOL. AOL mail became the world’s biggest email provider in October 1997, with about 9 million subscribers. It gives a maintained and fascinating email experience for a lot of people in the world. AOL grants you access to the goodies of AOL which includes mail’s innovative features and settings. Using the app version of AOL enables you to send mails, organize your mailbox, add contacts and many more. You can also send and receive mails when you access your AOL account from any other email application.

How to Setup AOL Mail in Your iPhone

  • Select Settings from your iPhone home screen.
  • Scroll down and click mail, contacts, and calendars.
  • click on add account on the account section.
  • select your email account type.
  • click on add mail account beneath the mail section and input the following data:

                    NAME: (choose any name of your choice)

                    EMAIL: (your AOL mail address)

                    PASSWORD: (choose a password)

                    DESCRIPTION: (input a description for your mail)

  • click on next.
  • select imap beneath the incoming mail server and input the following:

                     HOSTNAME: (imap.aol.com)

                     USERNAME: (enter your AOL email address)

                     PASSWORD: (enter your AOL email password)

  • Click on next and beneath outgoing mail server, input the following:

                    HOSTNAME: (smtp.aol.com)

                    USERNAME: (enter your AOL email address)

                    PASSWORD: (enter your AOL email password)

  • wait for your account to be verified.
  • Highlight your mail and notes, then click on save.

 How to Setup Your Sent Folder Properly

  • Begin at the home screen.
  • Go to your Settings
  • Choose mail, contacts, and calendar.
  • Click on your IMAP account.
  • Select the account, (for example: user@mail.com).
  • Scroll down to the base.
  • Click on advanced.
  • Reform every of the mailbox write-up as required (for example; select sent mailbox and check sent items).
  • Return back to advanced (at the top left).
  • Return back to account (at the top left too).
